About

I am Maggie’s grateful husband and Eliot’s proud father.  I’m the pastor of New Community Covenant Church in Chicago’s historic Bronzeville neighborhood.

This blog is my signs of life collection: items of hope- however unexpected- within conversation, over meals, during a church service, buried in a book or pulled from the headlines.  I am drawn especially to those moments that allow for the exploration of Christianity’s impact- or lack thereof- on everyday life.

All opinions, questions and provocations expressed here are solely my own.
