Thanks Larry. It is a great group of folks. Of course, you could say that about the whole church.

Yeah, I feel a bit bad adding to your "adios posts" but I gotta chime in on this one...

The staff at Parkview (yourself included, of course) is why I love it there. There are other reasons of course, but the leadership tells much about the mission, ya know? And I really feel that the leaders they have there (and are going to lose soon with you and Brian) are prime examples of those who despite being fairly comfortable with where they are at, decided to follow God with all their hearts. And that's something monumental (sadly) within the church as a whole. All too often, people just look for "that perfect gig" where it's a congregation they like, the job they feel they fit in, and a staff that's manageable with pay that works.

And between your and Brian's departures, with the changes they're trying to make in terms of striving for excellence (adding Steve to the mix as one great example) tells me so much about where priorities lie within the church. They lie with God. Not with the congregation. Not with Ray. Not with Parkview. You want to serve the Congregation (capital "c") and God. And that's simply awesome.

Thanks.
